The interactive will be incorporated into a section of the exhibit which displays various optical illusions. The visitor experiences the "cafe wall" optical illusion when they approach the device. The grey lines in between each row of tiles seem crooked at first. The visitor slides the handle along the bottom of the interactive causing the rows of tiles to align. This reveals that the grey lines are actually parallel to one another. This 2D display will be accompanied by a large 3D model of the "cafe wall" illusion. The 3D model enables young children to build the illusion using foam blocks. |
